WHEAT ATTA HALWA

This halwa is distributed as prasad in temple across north india and can be prepared in a matter of few minutes.

INGREDIENTS:

1. wheat flour - 1 cup
2. ghee - 1 cup (melted)
3. boiling water - 2 cups
4. cardamom powder/ elachi
5. sugar - 1cup
6. kaju - roasted in ghee

METHOD:

1. combine wheat flour and  ghee in a thick bottomed pan and  fry till the color changes to dark brown.
2. keep in medium flame and  stir constant.
3. then add sugar and  boiling water, elachi powder and keep stirring.
4.when the sugar gets dissolved and  starts thickening , and leaves ghee in sides.
5. remove and garnish with cashew.
