MUNGODI

Needed:
green moong or yellow moong - 1 cup
channa dal/ kadala parupu - 1/2 cup
green chilly - 4
curry leaves- grind along with moong
hing - 1/2 tsp
jeera powder-1/2 tsp ( optional)
1/2 tbsp finely chopped coconut
salt to taste

Method:
  • soak green moong and  channa dal seperately for 2hrs.
  • Grind moong , green chilly , curryleaves and  channa coarsely without water.
  • transfer to a bowl and add salt, jeera powder, hing, coconut.
  • mix well.
  • With your fingers drop small drops (about penny sized)in hot oil.
  • When golden brown and  crisp, remove. Serve with ketchup.
