MIXED VEGETABLE - PATIALA STYLE



this is a very tasty side dish for roti .below is the reciepe from the books of tarla dalal.

Ingredients


1 3/4 cups boiled mixed vegetables
2 to 3 tbsp chopped capsicum
1 onion, finely chopped
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 green chilli, finely chopped
3/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon (dalchini) powder
1 tsp levelled, cornflour
1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
3 tbsp ghee
salt to taste

To be ground into a paste
3 cloves of garlic (lehsun)
12 mm. piece ginger (adrak)


Method
  1. You can take cauliflower, carrots, green peas, baby corn as mixed vegetables.
  2. Heat the ghee and fry the onion for 1 minute.
  3. Mix the paste in 2 tablespoons of water and add along with the turmeric powder. Cook until the onions are soft.
  4. Add the boiled vegetables, capsicum, green chilli, milk, sugar, cinnamon powder and salt.
  5. Mix the cornflour with 3 tablespoons of water and add to the mixture. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle coriander on top and serve hot.
