COCONUT THUVIYAL/ THENGAI THOGAYAL






NEEDED:
coconut (grated)-  1 cup
hing
salt
1 tsp oil
1 tbsp urad dal
red chilly
tamarind little

METHOD:
  • In 1 tsp oil add the urad dal , red chilly & fry till golden brown .
  • add hing and tamarind and fry for 1 min .
  • then add the coconut. just stir once and remove.
  • then allow it to cool and then grind to a paste  adding salt & water as req.
  • have with cooked  rice,..............also good with curd rice.
NOTE:
thogayal shd always be thick. do not grind too smooth.
