GOBI MASALA


NEEDED:

cauliflower / gobi
1 big onion - chopped
salt
chilly powder
dhanajeera powder
haldi / turmeric powder
whisked yogurt / curd - 1/4 cup
kasuri methi - a pinch - crushed
fresh cream.
1/2 tsp sugar  (opt)
oil 3 tsp  ,1 bay leaf , jeera - for seasoning

TO GRIND:

1 big tomato
little ginger
garlic flakes - 3
cashewnut - 6
grind to a smooth paste adding water as req.

METHOD:

  • rinse well the gobi and put the gobi in the boiling water.
  • add little salt and par cook the flower .
  • drain the water and keep aside.
  • take a pan , heat oil. add the bay leaf, jeera.
  • add the onion and fry till light brown .
  • then add the ground tomato kaju paste.
  • add haldi, chilly powder, salt, dhanajeera powder.
  • cook till oil seperates, now lower the flame  and add  curd, stir well.
  • add water as req (1/2 cup).add 1/2 tsp sugar.
  • mix well , add the gobi.
  • close the lid and cook for few min . keep checking at intervals.
  • at last add the crushed kasurimethi,  fresh cream.
  • mix well and remove.
  • good with roti,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
