RADISH SUBJI

Radish is a root crop,pungent or sweet in taste. it can be white ,red , purple, long ,or round in shape. radish leaves contain almost 6 times the vitamin C content of their root& are also a good source of calcium. it has a lot of medicinal value. normally we u radish only in sambar. but this subji illustrated below
is good with roti.






Ingredients:



1. radish -cubed 1 cup, with leaf - chopped
2. hing -1/2 tsp
3. haldi -1/2 tsp
4. salt 2 taste
5. sugar -1/2 tsp
6. oil -2tsp
7. jeera- 1/2 tsp , mustard -1/2 tsp, 1 bay leaf

TO ROAST & GRIND

1. 1 tsp dhaniya/ corriander seeds
2. 2 red chillies
3. 1 lavang
4. 1 onion
5. 1 tomato
6. coconut -1 tbsp

method:

1. In 2tsp oil temper mustard , jeera , bay leaf.
2. add radish with leaf &pour 1-2 cups water.
3. close the lid add cook till it becomes tender.
4. add haldi, hing, salt , & the ground paste.
5. (add water if required)
6. add sugar & garam masala.
7. cook for 5 min & remove.
8. garnish with curry leaves or corriander.
