COCONUT CASHEW BURFI

ingredients:

grated coconut- 1/2 cup - slightly roast

cashewnut - powdered coarsely - 1 cup

milk powder - 1 cup

gram flour/ besan/ kadalai mavu- 1 cup - slightly roasted

ghee - 3/4 -1 cup

elachi powder

sugar - 4 cups

water -2 cups ( approx)

food color - yelow - a pinch

magaj little (optional )

method:

in a thick bottomed pan combine sugar & water .

sugar gets completely dissolved , if u touch & see it should be sticky.

now add besan , milk powder , cashew powder, coconut.

stir continuous , adding ghee little by little , till it thickens.

add elachi powder, magaj, yellow color stir.
( do not keep in flame for long time . then it will become too hard .
burfi shd always be soft.)

spread in a greased plate , & put pieces.
