It is not only rich in essential minerals, iron, protein and trace elements; it is also rich in fibre. Cooked Bottle gourd is anti-bilious. It makes one relax after eating. But one should not eat the vegetable raw as it can harm the stomach and intestines. needed:
bottle gaurd /lauki /sorakai - 1 small - diced
1 tomato - chopped
1/2 tsp asafoetida/ hing
1/2 tsp turmeric powder/ haldi
roasted groundnut powder - 1tbsp
salt 2 taste
chilly powder- 1 tsp r to taste
for tempering- mustard, jeera, 2 tsp oil
corriander or curryleaves
mtd:temper mustard , jeera in 2 tsp oil & add lauki & the tomato.
add hing, haldi, & 1 cup water .
then add salt , chilly powder & cook till soft.( add water if required)
add ground nut powder & cook for another 2 min & remove .
if u want to make like curry cook till the sabzi is dry.
garnish with corriander/ curry leaves.
