1/2 kg gauva - cut to small pieces
a pinch lemon salt / citric acid
sugar - (for 1 cup guava puree - 3/4 cup sugar)
little water
majaj or any nuts
ghee - 2tsp
METHOD:
take a pan & add the chopped gauva .
add water till the guava get immmersed .add a pinch citric acid.
keep in medium flame & cook for 3 min & remove .drain the water & keep aside.( can use it as req while grinding.)
allow it to cool & then grind to a paste.
filter the guava puree to discard the seeds.
measure the puree . (take sugar accordingly.)
take a thick bottemed pan & add the guava paste , sugar , majaj .
add 2 tsp ghee , stir till u get a thick halwa consistency .
spread it in a greased plate & allow it to cool .
cut pieces , then wrap each piece in a butter paper.
NOTE: this toffee will be very soft , will not be like burfi.
can add food color if u like.
