PALAK STEM PAKODA


Pakoras are created by taking one or two ingredients.The most popular varieties are palak pakora, made from spinach leaves and stem. The credit for this simple and yet fast to make receipe goes to my sister in law.

Ingredients :

1.Gram flour /Besun
2.Potato - 1 finely diced
3.Spinach stem & leaf - 5-6 with thick stem
(stem -cut small, leaf -chopped)
4.Salt 2 taste, chilli powder -1/2 tsp,haldi 1/2 tsp,hing 1/2 tsp
5.Onions- 1 big-chopped
6. Green chilli -2 chopped
7.ajwain -1/2 tsp
8.Oil for frying

Method:

Mix all the ingredients and deep fry the pakoras.
serve with red sauce .














Ingredients for the red sauce

1.Tomato(medium sized)
2.Garlic cloves
3.Dry red chillies(broken into pieces)
4.Salt to taste

Procedure to make the red sauce

1. Boil a vessel full of water and put the tomato in it for around 10 minutes. Remove, peel and keep aside.
2. Dry roast the red chillies till they are crisp.
3. Combine tomato, garlic, dry red chillies and salt and blend to a smooth sauce .
