BREAD RAVA UPMA


Normally i trim the edges of the bread while making sandwich. i dont waste the corner pieces , instead i make bread upma with that .(either plain or adding rava.)

NEEDED:

bread slices ( i used corner pieces of bread - 1 cup )
 rava - 1/2 cup
water 3/4 cup
2 tsp oil , 1 tsp mustard, 1/2 tsp jeera,  1tsp urad dal - for tempering
1 small tomato - chopped
green chilly
salt
ghee - 3 tsp

METHOD:
  • slightly turn the corner pieces of bread in a mixy .
  • then in a pan add ghee & the bread crumbs. fry for 2 min & remove.
  • then in the same pan temper  mustard , jeera,  urad dal ,& green chilly in 2 tsp oil .
  • then add the tomato, & water . add salt .
  • when  the water boils add the rava , close the lid & cook for few min.
  • when the rava is cooked & thick ,add the roasted bread crumbs .
  • mix well & remove.
NOTE:
can add vegetables if u want.
