PUDINA THUVIYAL


NEEDED:
Pudina leaves
1 tsp mustard
2 tsp oil
1 tbsp urad dal
hing
salt
red chilly
 tamarind

METHOD:

  • in 1 tsp oil add the pudina & roast for a min. it will shrink immediately.
  • remove & keep aside.
  • again in 1 tsp oiltemper mustard . add red chilly, hing, tamarind, urad dal. roast till golden color & remove.
  • add salt.
  • allow it to cool.
  • then in a mixer addthe pudina, tamarind, red chilly. add little water& grind to a paste.
  • then to this add the remaining urad dal & grind again. ( no need to add water.)
  • remove, mix well  & transfer to a bowl.
  • can mix with plain rice & have . good with curd rice.
