ALOO LOBIA

Ingredients:

1. potato 1 big - par boiled- peel skin - cut 2 medium size pieces
2. 1/2 cup black eyed bean/lobia- soak for 2 hrs -pressure cook
3. 1 tomato chopped
4. 1 onion roughly chopped
5. small piece ginger /adrak- grate r finely chopped
6. 2-3 tsp oil ,1 tsp jeera,curry leaves,- tempering
7. 1/2 tsp asafotida/hing
8. 1tsp dhana jeera powder( mixture of corriander &jeera powder)
9. 1tsp garam masala
10. turmeric powder /haldi-1/2 tsp
11. tamarind paste -1/2 tsp
12. salt & chilly powder 2 ur taste
13. 1/2 tsp sugar

method:


1. temper jeera , ginger in 2 tsp oil & add the onions .
2. fry till light brown,add tomotoes , curry leaves . cook for 5 min ,then add aloo & lobia with stock .
3. add all the above said spices, 1/2tsp tamarind paste.
4. cook till the subjee is dry . the masala shd coat the aloo.
5. add water if req & leave it in gravy form . (i made it dry)
remove & garnish with corriander.
