Shrikhand is popular dessert of north India which transforms ordinary curds into a delicacy.
Ingredients:
1/2 kg. hung curd.(chaka)
300 gms. Sugar -powder this/ icing sugar
1/2 tsp. cardamom powder
Few strands saffron -slightly crush & add
1/2 tbsp. pista and almond crushed or sara parupu
METHOD:

METHOD:
- (Tie curd in a clean muslin cloth overnight. (6-7 hours). this is homemade chaka.)
- Put chaka in a bowl and add sugar powder .Mix well without lumps.
- it shd b smooth & creamy.( if u have a hand mixer do in that to get a smooth paste or turn slightly in mixcy or use beater.)
- Mix in cardamom powder & saffron strands and half nuts.
- Empty into a glass serving bowl, top with remaining nut .
- Chill for 1-2 hours before serving. tastes good with pori.
- this is basic shrikand. u can also add flavours.
