CHANNA


NEEDED:

brown channa - 1/2 cup ( soak overnight)
salt
hing
turmeric powder
1/2 tsp sugar
3 tsp oil 

TO GRIND:
1 tsp dhaniya
little pudina
garlic
1 onion - chopped
1 tomato - if big
red chilly
1 tsp chutney dal / porikadalai
grind this to a paste adding water as required.

METHOD:
  • add 1/2 tsp ajwain to the channa and pressure cook adding water as required.
  • leave 4  - 5 whistle . remove , drain the excess water  and keep aside.
  • in a wok add oil and add the paste . 
  • fry till the oil seperates.
  • then add the cooked channa ,add little water.
  • add salt , turmeric powder, hing , 1\ 2 tsp sugar.
  • cook for few min . 
  • remove and garnish with corriander.
  • good with roti.............
