NEEDED:
brown channa - 1/2 cup ( soak overnight)
salt
hing
turmeric powder
1/2 tsp sugar
3 tsp oil
TO GRIND:
1 tsp dhaniya
little pudina
garlic
1 onion - chopped
1 tomato - if big
red chilly
1 tsp chutney dal / porikadalai
grind this to a paste adding water as required.
METHOD:
- add 1/2 tsp ajwain to the channa and pressure cook adding water as required.
- leave 4 - 5 whistle . remove , drain the excess water and keep aside.
- in a wok add oil and add the paste .
- fry till the oil seperates.
- then add the cooked channa ,add little water.
- add salt , turmeric powder, hing , 1\ 2 tsp sugar.
- cook for few min .
- remove and garnish with corriander.
- good with roti.............
