TAVALAI VADAI



NEEDED:

Toovar dal- 1/2 cup
Channa dal - 1/ 2 cup
Plain rice - 1/2 cup
Urad dal - 1/ 2 cup
Moong dal- 1/ 2 cup
Salt
Green chilly- 3
Curry leaf

METHOD
  • Soak toovar, channa dal , rice together , in water for 2 hrs.
  • Soak urad dal in a separate bowl.
  • Moong dal soak in another bowl.
  • 1 st wash and grind toovar,  channa, rice to a coarse paste adding chilly , curry leaves. 
  • Transfer it to a bowl.
  • Then wash the urad dal and grind to a smooth paste.
  • Mix with channa toovar paste.
  • Then drain the water from moong dal and add to the paste.
  • Add salt and  mix well.
  • Heat oil in a wok and make vada. (using a spoon )
  • Can make 4- 5 at a time. Fry till golden on a medium flame and remove.
