this is a tasty rainy day snack . i feel its too oily but can have it once.
Buttermilk fried onion rings.
Ingredients
4 onions
1 1/4 cups plain flour (maida)
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp black pepper powder
a pinch of baking soda
salt to taste
oil for frying
Method
1.
Peel
and cut the onions into rings. Keep aside.
2.
Make
a batter of pouring consistency with the flour, buttermilk, black pepper
powder, soda bi-carb and salt.
3.
Dip
the onion rings in the batter and deep fry in hot oil till golden brown in
colour.
4.
Drain
on absorbent paper.
5.
Serve
hot with ketchep.
Tips:
1.
To make the onion
rings crisper, add 1/2 teaspoon of cornflour to the batter.
