BRINJAL THUVIYAL

   

NEEDED:

Brinjal 3  If big
2tsp oil
Urad dal - 3tsp
Mustard- 1/2 tsp
Red chilly
Salt
Tamarind - small piece
Hing

METHOD:
  • grease a brinjal with little oil and cook over an open flame, till it is soft.
  • The brinjal skin will become  black in color.
  • Remove and drop inside a bowl of water.
  • Cool ,peel the skin and keep aside.
  • Then temper mustard in 2 tsp oil and add red chilly, urad dal , hing .
  • At last add tamarind and remove. 
  • Add salt and allow it to cool .
  • Then grind this adding the cooked brinjal.
  • Add water if required. 
  • ( do not grind to smooth.)

NOTE
 Add the urad dal at last and grind slightly .
Make it little spicy.
